Semax in Canada: a research guide

Semax is listed by Peptide Confidential, in Calgary, Alberta, as a laboratory reagent for in-vitro research. This guide covers what the listing is, why Semax and Selank are separate records, what a Semax batch record should show, and how ordering and shipping work in Canada.

Where can a lab order Semax in Canada?

Peptide Confidential, in Calgary, Alberta, lists Semax as a laboratory reagent for in-vitro research and ships orders within Canada, tracked, by Canada Post Xpresspost. No pack size is sold until its batch has a published report from an independent laboratory, and its product page shows whether it can be ordered now.

What Semax is

Semax is a synthetic peptide, listed under that name. As with Selank, the name is not a systematic chemical name, so what says which material a vial holds is its identifiers, such as the CAS number and the molecular formula, read against its batch record.

The identifiers our listing records, where it records them, are on its product page.

Semax and Selank: two records, not one

The two names are often seen side by side, but Semax and Selank are different synthetic peptides. Each has its own identifiers, its own listing and its own batch record, and a report on one says nothing about the other. The Selank guide covers Selank.

What a Semax batch record should show

  • A lot number that matches the one on the vial label. A certificate for another batch says little about yours.

  • The laboratory’s name, and the date it ran the test.

  • A purity figure, with the technique that produced it.

  • A test of which compound is in the vial, such as mass spectrometry, where the laboratory ran one. A purity figure says how much of the sample is one compound, not which compound it is.

  • The amount measured in the vial, against the amount on the label.

  • The compound named as Semax on the record, as it is on the vial label, so the two describe the same material.

Semax at Peptide Confidential

We list Semax from Calgary, Alberta, as a laboratory reagent for in-vitro research. A pack size is sold only once its batch has a published report from an independent laboratory. Until one is published, its page says so and nothing is sold. Each pack size has its own page, with its price in Canadian dollars, whether it can be ordered now, and the batch record behind it. When a pack size is out of stock, its page offers one email when it can be ordered again.

Each batch is tested by an independent laboratory before it is released, and its record stays public on the lab reports page. A batch that did not pass is on the same page, marked rejected with the reason, and is never sold.

Questions

Is Semax the same as Selank?

No. They are two different synthetic peptides, each with its own identifiers and its own batch record.

How do I check the batch behind my vial?

Open the code printed on the vial label. It leads to the batch record: the figures copied from the laboratory’s document, the test date, the laboratory’s name and, where it is published, a link to the document itself. The lot number on the label must match the lot number on the record. See Can I check a lab report myself?

How quickly does an order ship within Canada?

We aim to dispatch orders the same business day when payment is confirmed before 1 p.m. Mountain Time, Monday to Friday. Later payments, weekends and holidays ship the next business day. Delivery estimates are in the shipping policy.
